Fantasy Game5

Business type: gaming
As a concept model, the Game5 Fantasy Platform utilises the popularity of fantasy trading cards. Users can compete in Fantasy Tournaments by amassing a collection of Player Cards. It combines features from a Card Collector and a Fantasy Platform into a single game.

With our in-depth pages and match reports, Game5.gg, a leader in Esports data collecting, can provide players with a thorough glance at the stats of each game we monitor. In addition, we are currently preparing Esports Competitions for Fantasy Leagues.

Fans may join in Game5 Fantasy League while they follow their favourite Esports and teams in a card collector-style format.

Client Requirements

The client's initial request was redesigning the website for the already developed backend. However, the client was having problems with the functions that were still missing.

This is when Startupmate entered the picture and assumed responsibility for redesigning both the portal's frontend and backend.

Challenges

This is the most crucial stage of development. Creating a smooth development process, we aligned multiple meetings with our client to learn about the core problems and issues. Here is a list of the challenges we faced due to the drawbacks.
  • Challenges 01
For every game the administrator onboarded, the previous development team created a new admin panel, making the entire project challenging.
  • Challenges 02
No unique IDs are used in the system's database mapping.
  • Challenges 03
The necessary functions and modules are obscure and lack documentation.
  • Challenges 04
It became difficult for us to onboard the end user since we had to provide the user with onboarding player cards and coins so they could buy charms and cards from the shop.
  • Challenges 05
The main component of the portal was the computations that had to be displayed on the leaderboard. It included every player listed on the portal and every gamer who used it.

Solutions

Our expert designers and developers worked together to develop quick-loading and responsive designs.
  • The website has been completely revamped, along with the components players need to grasp.
  • We decided to progressively combine many admin panels into one. It would serve as the website's primary admin panel and provide complete admin control over all of the games featured on the portal.
  • Startupmate has worked on the projection documentation for each phase to clarify each feature added to the website.
  • We've worked three times on the functionalities in the portal's onboarding area. Finally, we fixed the problems by giving users several cards from three separate categories and letting administrators adjust the structure of the categories from the admin panel.
  • The Startupmate development team has researched and developed the gaming rules and features. It has produced the computations in addition to having them shown on displays.

Process

  • Empathy

Players may collect and utilise the Player cards that Game5.gg creates and distributes on their website to join the Fantasy Leagues of their choice. Following their rating, bonuses, and charm distribution, player cards get Fantasy Points.
  • Define

We had to live up to our client's expectations. Users would need to have a lively experience while playing the game. We had to map events of the events between the game and portray them. It was crucial to make it fun.
  • Ideate

Users that register on the website are then taken to their dashboard when their activation has been finished. The user will select the games they want to play from their dashboard (they may play one or more Esports games). They would earn certain coins they can use to purchase in-game glories.
  • Prototype

On its website, Game5 uses a monetary system called Coins. Users will use them to buy Player Packs and Charm Packs and to trade on the Marketplace. Coins may be acquired with real-world money or earned through daily tasks. So, we designed a prototype with all requirements.
  • Test

We tested the prototype within our team and on different browsers to check its integrity. We made sure the platform offers a great user experience. We ran debugging steps to ensure the platform remained error-free.

Technologies Used

Initially, we began designing over Figma, a collaborative web application for interface design. It followed by using "HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap" for the front-end conversion.

After that, we used the latest version of "PHP" followed by "Google Analytics" for the reporting, "Google AdSense" for Advertisements, "Google Font APIs", "Chart.JS" for JavaScript Graphics, along with some libraries for the development.
